ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
The Enneagram is a personality typing model of the human psyche championed by spiritual directors for the way it informs self-awareness and interpersonal dynamics. This one-day workshop will offer a broad introduction to the nine types, wings, sub-types, and passions and virtues of each. Understanding the Enneagram can help you on your own path to spiritual growth as well as assist you in guiding others.
Presenters and ISC Spiritual Directors Susan Payne and Dave Richardson will share their experience of teaching the Enneagram, and speak to how it has informed and enriched their life and work for years.
This workshop will benefit all, and is especially relevant for spiritual directors and spiritual care providers.
A light lunch will be provided.

about the presenters
Susan Payne is a licensed clinical social worker who has maintained a part-time spiritual direction practice out of her home in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle for the past 17 years. She has been studying the Enneagram for more than 30 years, and finds the breadth and depth of the Enneagram in explaining human nature’s struggles and triumphs particularly impactful. Susan is a practicing Episcopalian, but her spirituality meets and allows for many spiritual traditions, practices and points of view.
David Richardson worked in Aerospace until retiring in 1999. His introduction to the Enneagram began with a series of summer workshops at Seattle University in 1986, with Fr. Pat O’Leary. David completed Spiritual Director training at the Pecos Benedictine Abbey in New Mexico in 2004 and utilizes the Enneagram in his Spiritual Direction work. He has been involved in teaching the Enneagram to local Parishes, Catholic high school teachers, and colleagues and integrates the study of the Enneagram into “Intentional Discipleship & Evangelization” classes.
