ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Fall is a time for letting go. Change is all around us, as we walk with the bounty of summer’s joy and energy but also ease into a slower, gentler pace. As part of God’s creation, we are called to co-create a world that reflects God’s love, care and compassion. This, in a time when the environment and our relationship with it, as well as one another as a human family, is most strained. Engaging with nature gives us the inspiration to heal holistically and live with purpose and meaning.

Come and join facilitator Maria Ochoa Vazquez, an Ignatian spiritual director, gardener, and artist, for an afternoon together as we explore the seasons of possibility that exist within you. We will enjoy a contemplative “Ignatian” stroll through the Bellevue Botanical Gardens and take time to ponder and reflect together through contemplative practices. Engage in a contemplative nature encounter filled with curiosity, creativity, and wonder!

This program is geared towards adults of all ages, 20 and older please. An openness to using Ignatian Spirituality, as well as other contemplative and therapeutic practices, is welcome! Snacks and beverages will be provided. Free parking available. Parking lot and pathways around buildings are paved. The majority of main garden pathways are covered with 3/8 minus gravel, which is an ADA-compliant material. Some of the trails within the garden are sloped. Visit https://bellevuebotanical.org/faq-2/ to access a Trail & Accessibility Guide for more information. Please come prepared for weather, rain or shine!
