About this Program
This mini-retreat will explore the Ignatian concept of the Magis, living ‘the more.’ Becoming more of who we are and living out of that truth is spiritual work for us all. Our time together will include brief reflections leading you through opportunities to ‘listen to the sound of the genuine’ in your life—a phrase from Christian mystic and civil rights leader Howard Thurman—through the Examen prayer, creative exercises, abundant time for personal reflection and journaling, and small group discussion—all designed to support you as you embrace the journey ahead.
This program is open to all who desire a day of peaceful reflection in silence, regardless of experience level with Ignatian spirituality. All are welcome!

About the Presenters
Leonetta Elaiho is a creative contemplative, a writer, and a public theologian that thrives at the intersection of culture, faith and justice. The arc of her work has always bent towards the margins and her desire for radical inclusion of the typically excluded.
An aesthete, she is a big believer in beauty—it's constant presence and invitation to us—even amidst our deepest pains. Her experiences in her own spiritual journey, which has roots in many Christian traditions, sparked her desire to help others grow in their spiritual journeys as well. She has completed numerous training and certification programs including the SoulFormation Academy of Spiritual Formation and the School of Spiritual Direction, Medicine Woman Way, The Center of Action and Contemplation Living School, Resmaa Menakem's Foundations in Somatic Abolitionism, Huayruro's Restorative Circle Training and more. She serves in numerous community roles and is currently the Chair of the Ignatian Spirituality Center and a founding Trustee of the Reconciliation and Restoration Foundation.
Van Manivanh's heart is for inclusion and community as we all seek God together. Van is an ordained pastor with the Free Methodist denomination, and received her spiritual direction training through SoulFormation’s School of Spiritual Direction. Van has worked in a variety of social service settings, including serving with the PeaceCorps in Madagascar, and working in government and nonprofit social service agencies in Seattle. These experiences drew Van toward helping others root their service in a healthy experience of God in order to sustain their work for the long term. She has a heart for social justice, loves traveling and enjoys good food.
