ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
Join us for an Earth Day evening of reflection on the sacred gifts and lessons of migration hosted by the Women Companions of Color.
We will listen to powerful migration stories and reflect on our shared responsibility to care for the earth. Through storytelling and contemplation, we’ll explore the deep connections between human movement, resilience, and the call to nurture our common home.
Women Companions of Color are ignited by the Spirit to offer a ministry model of shared leadership, compassionate witness and welcome to nontraditional voices and cultures, and facilitated community building experiences for all.

ABOUT the Presenters
Sharon Spence-Wilcox is a cradle Catholic who was born and raised in Jamaica and has been a resident of Seattle for nearly 30 years. She embraces her strong relationships with family, lifelong learning as a community college faculty librarian, and the joy of serving as a flawed yet faith-filled lay minister at St. Therese Parish. Sharon is a proud member of the Companions of Color cohort of BIPOC leaders being formed in Ignatian spirituality and spiritual companionship.
Cézanne Hardy is a certified Spiritual Director, Advance Practice Board Certified Chaplain, visual artist, educator, and member of St. Therese Parish and Shades of Praise Choir. Expressive arts, trauma-informed care, and transformational healing guide her work to inspire mind, body, soul, and spirit integration.
Josie Dean is a native Seattlite and long time parishioner at Immaculate Conception Church. After retiring from a career in healthcare she now spends time assisting in the OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) program at ICC and volunteering at St. Francis House. Participation in ISC and SEEL helped deepen her commitment to spiritual growth and her desire to help others do the same.
Mercy Lazo is an Ilokana mom who moved to this country about 30 years ago. At present, she is a healthcare worker in supportive housing. She considers St. Therese Church her spiritual home.
